Family Tree

As with most family trees, this one starts with the researcher.  In this case, that’s me, Robert Earl Lee.  I started piecing together my family tree several years ago, mainly to figure out if I am related to the famous Confederate General, Robert Edward Lee of Virginia.  As it turns out, the Lee side of my family has been the hardest branch to trace.  It wasn’t until early 2009 that I caught a break and got past just having my great-grandfather’s name, Joe Lee.

I want this page to be more than just a listing of names and dates. When and where I have more on someone (stories, news articles, etc.), I hope to eventually to include that here.  This page (as with every other page on this website) is a work in progress. Whether I’m adding new family info or tweaking how the website looks, please come back often to see what’s new.

For those of you who came here in doing your own genealogical research, or if you have something to contribute, please feel free to contact me at leere68@gmail.com.

Updated: 19 August 2013 – Now that I’ve switched the website’s hosting service, I’m looking to rebuild much of the content here.  I’m still working on figuring out how this RootsPersona WordPress plug-in works.  I’ve already posted a few individuals from my family tree on the website and I’m working on a page dedicated to family members who have served (or still serving) in this country’s armed forces.
