MELBY, BETTY, Elizabeth "Betty" OHearn Melby, Born in Dallas August 5, 1936 and died peacefully surrounded by family and friends in Dallas October 5, 2006. Betty was preceded in death by parents, J.L. and Lois OHearn; husband, Lawrence E. Melby; father and mother-in-law, Arne and Mabel Melby. Survived by brother, Dan and his wife Ann OHearn; sister-in-law, Claire Melby; her children, Lawrence E. Melby, II, Elizabeth M. Melby, Margaret and Robert Lee and John Melby; grandchildren, Robert E. Lee, Samantha C. Lee, Crystin and Ben Niscavits, Jessica and Kyle Weber, and Kathryn and Robert Johns and great grandson, Cru Jacob Niscavits. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A Rosary will be held Saturday, October 7th, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 9th, 2006 at Christ The King Catholic Church, presided over by Msgr. Donald F. Zimmerman. Interment will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ The King Church.
